Chapter 1 - The Foundation of Prophecy
In Chapter one you will examine what Scripture
says about itself, and the instructions it gives to its readers for interpretation. The
literal/natural interpretation method is discussed, and you will see
that while allegory is present at times, God always defines, or gives
parameters to the reader, even in that event. The conclusion is that you have the ability to understand Holy Scripture, but only if you are a born-again Christian, and listen to the Holy Spirit. We can have confidence that He wants to teach us, and will do so if we ask humbly, in Jesus' name, read our bible, and trust Him! The answers are there, but we often have a hard time accepting them, or miss them because of our presuppositions!
The importance of context is discussed and I will demonstrate that sometimes there are multiple contexts contained within a single block of scripture, and even within one verse. Examples of this are found in Genesis 22, and Zechariah chapter 11. You will also see that while there are depths of meaning contained within scripture, true interpretations never contradict true interpretations, but add layers of truth. This is in contrast with occult teachings which frequently contradict themselves.
This chapter also discusses Antiochus
Epiphanes IV, and shows that he was indeed a fulfillment of some biblical
prophecies, but that he was also a type, or prototype, of the final
world ruler who is coming soon to a planet near you!
Chapter 2 - The Beginning of Sorrows
In Chapter 2 you will learn what Jesus
meant by “No man knows the day nor the hour”, and what is meant
by the doctrine of imminence. We discuss the End Times
prophecies as presented in the bible and show that “Behold, I come as a thief”
can have more than one meaning...thieves do more than one thing! They come suddenly and unexpectedly, but they also come to take something of value, that belongs to you. Jesus is coming to take something that belongs to Him, but the nations think it belongs to them..sovereignty over the earth!
Daniel chapter 2 is examined and you will see how Nebuchadnezzar's dream forms the basic framework for the rest of history up to today. Considering that Nebuchadnezzar himself was the head of gold, we are now nearing the stage of the ten toes in that dream. We discuss the nations, those ten toes represent, and how they will have an effect on your life.
Carrying on in Daniel we discuss the seventy weeks prophecy and show that Jesus of Nazareth is the only possible fulfillment of the biblical prophecies of the messiah. This is important, for someone else is coming who will claim that he is a fulfillment of biblical messianic prophecy! We then go on to study the Church Age, the differences between the Church and Israel, and how it began at Pentecost, and ends with the rapture.
The reality of the rapture is discussed including several biblical prophecies about a pre-tribulation rapture, found in the Old Testament. The rapture of the Church was not an afterthought, but a part of God's plan from the beginning! You will see that this event has multiple purposes, one of which is to bring Israel to jealousy, in order to bring them to repentance and faith! This leads us to discuss just exactly who is Israel, and where they are today.
The timing of the rapture is examined,
and while we cannot set a day, nor an hour, we will see that the bible does
indeed say much more about the timing of this event than most
Christians suspect. There are signs to look for. We will discuss the "last trumpet" Paul spoke about in 1 Corinthians 15:52, and show that it is an Old Testament trumpet, and coincides with the final gathering of the people of Israel. Paul had no knowledge of the book of Revelation, and its trumpet judgments, since Revelation had yet to be written!
Chapter 3 - The Abandonment
Chapter 3 discusses the wave of apostasy that is spreading through professing Christendom today, and shows how it is relevant to prophecy and the End Times. You will see how popular movements like Alpha, Purpose Driven, the Emergent Church, and the New Apostolic Reformation are closely related to each other, and are leading Christianity away from the God of the bible. Rick Warren's "The Purpose Driven Life, and the popular book “The Shack” are examined and you will see that these books are a part of this stream.
The purpose of this chapter is not to insult or ridicule any of these groups, or individuals, but to provide a warning to Christians not to be involved, because they are leading to the formation of the Harlot of Revelation 17, and the crowning of the Antichrist!
Chapter 4 - Wars and Rumors
Chapter 4 discusses what Jesus meant by warning of “wars and rumors of wars”. Did He mean that “Since there have always been wars, and rumors of wars, things will be normal up until the day the Church is taken out of this world”? or there will be "war as usual". Absolutely not! He meant that there would be a specific sequence of wars which are prophesied in Scripture! We will discuss this sequence of wars, and will compare them to the situation in the Middle East today, to see if any of these wars are looming on the horizon.
This chapter will introduce the concept
of a "Counterfeit Armageddon. Is such a concept spoken of in
Scripture? Where? Is this something that Christians should be
concerned with, or will the rapture occur first? We will discuss the timing of the rapture, and though I cannot give a date, there are signs the bible gives us to watch for. We will take a close look at these signs, because there is much misinformation being spread about them.
This chapter also discusses a little
known, curiously worded prophecy, that actually gives the human name
of the messiah! This is important for another is coming with a different name, who will claim to be the messiah!
Chapter 5 - The Unveiling
Chapter 5 is a look at the sequence of judgments spoken of in the book of Revelation. We briefly discuss the origin of the Antichrist and the false prophet. Carrying on with the concept of a Pseudo-Armageddon you will see that this idea is consistent with scripture. By the time you are finished with this book I believe the majority of readers will agree with me that this concept presents the best framework to interpret the End Times prophecies of the bible!
The idea of a "Counterfeit Armageddon", or a " Counterfeit Tribulation", is about a fake, or trick of the Devil, to convince Christians that the Tribulation is actually occurring while the Church is still on earth! Since the Devil knows what Christians have been saying about the Tribulation, he will produce a counterfeit Tribulation so the world will be ready to accept his Christ, the Antichrist, when they think the Tribulation is over! Don't be confused, this book is pre-tribulational, and premillennial, in its outlook. The Christian Church is not an object of wrath, but the beloved bride of Christ, and He will rapture it to Heaven, before His wrath is poured out on the unbelieving world!
We will tackle the question of the identity of Babylon the Harlot of Revelation 17 and 18. Is this entity one, two, or perhaps even three cities? Which answer makes the most sense in the light of Scripture?
Chapter 6 - Why a Millennium?
Chapter 6 discusses the differences between the various Eschatological systems and why the bible specifies a thousand year reign of Christ. Could it actually mean something other than a literal thousand years? We will also discuss the idea that Christ is reigning today, an idea commonly taught in amillennial, and reformed circles.
We will look through the Old Testament prophecies of the reign of Christ, and you will see that there is only one interpretation that fits all of Scripture!
The bottom line is: What does the bible say about it?
Chapter 7 - The Case Against Jordan
Chapter 7 examines the biblical
prophecies against the nation of Jordan, which includes the descendants of Jacob's brother Esau, or Edom, and
shows that they are overwhelmingly timed to coincide with the
Tribulation, and Armageddon. We discuss the origin of this nation and
show how it was involved in the Roman destruction of Jerusalem, by
examining a section of Josephus' eye-witness account of that event.
We will take a close look at Daniel 11:41 and show that while a quick scan of this verse may give the impression that the nation of Jordan will be victorious against the Antichrist, a closer look actually leads to the conclusion that the Antichrist will come from this nation.
"He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon."
Did Hitler defeat Germany? Did Stalin defeat Russia? Did Napoleon defeat France? Did Caesar defeat Rome? In each case the man in question was put in power by the people of their respective nation. He didn't have to defeat them. The nation of Jordan will resist a decoy-Antichrist from Europe, and the people of the world will be led to believe that this nation is on the side of righteousness! It will be a false interpretation of this very prophecy that will lead many in Israel, and the professing Church, to lend their support to this man! This prophecy is not alone. There are many biblical prophecies about this nation. You can find them yourself, or you can get a copy of "The Spirit of Prophecy" and I will show you where they are.
You will also see that various
Scriptures could be twisted to say that the messiah could come from
Edom, the nation founded by Israel's brother Esau, and note that no other nation has this
distinction, not even Rome. Yes, the Antichrist will actually use the Holy Bible to validate his "ministry"! In spite of the prophecies against Edom,
the bible is clear that God wants people from all nations, and
families, represented in Heaven, and this includes the nation and family of the
Chapter 8 - Homosexuality, Polygamy, Marriage, and the Antichrist
Chapter 8 discusses some very controversial observations on the Word of God. The Old Testament Law of Moses gives the appearance of condoning, or at least accepting, the practice of polygamy (men being married to more than one woman at the same time). We discuss the lives of Jacob, Gideon, and David, and observe that God never does anything without a purpose. God's purpose in allowing this practice is intimately connected with His love for Israel, humanity, the End Times, and the rise of the Antichrist.
What did Jesus say on this subject? We will discuss Jesus' talk about divorce in Matthew 5 and 19, Mark 10, and Luke 16, and will show that he was specifically addressing Exodus 21:7-10 among other Old Testament passages. You will see that Jesus was not repudiating Moses, but explaining, and affirming, what he had written!
We compare sections of scripture in relation to the Antichrist's treatment of marriage, with biblical prophecies that describe Jesus' treatment of the same subject at His return. You will see that a major sign of the Antichrist, found in Daniel 11:37, has been misinterpreted in many Christian scholars! The Antichrist is a man who will introduce laws to prohibit polygamy in a part of the world where this practice has been ongoing since ancient times, even before the advent of Islam! As a result he will be applauded by most churches and accepted as a Christian! All of my contentions are backed up with scripture quotations, in context, and the challenge goes out to anyone who disagrees with me: Prove me wrong by the scriptures.
Chapter 9 - The Great Delusion
In Chapter 9 we will discuss various aspects of
the Strong Delusion spoken of in the bible. You will see how the
subject of UFOs and aliens is part of a conditioning process that has
been going on for a long time. While many Christians know that much of the UFO and alien phenomena are demonic, the population at large has been largely deceived on this issue. We look at popular movies, TV
shows, and music and show how they are all working together to deceive
the human race. We discuss how seemingly “innocent”
entertainment is actually a way for the devil to get his ideas into
our heads without being noticed, or challenged.
We will take a look at some popular music such as groups like Led Zeppelin, and Styx, and you will see that these big name rock bands, and others, have been wittingly, or perhaps unwittingly, cooperating with the End Times delusion. You will be surprised at the hidden messages in both the lyrics, and in the cover artwork, of some of these bands! The day is coming when some of their music will actually be considered prophetic by some!
This chapter also summarizes the entire book and provides hope for those who have been alarmed by the subjects covered. While I have not set aside a block of space for the gospel of Jesus Christ, the gospel itself is interwoven throughout this presentation from the beginning to the end. The gospel of Jesus Christ is an integral part of prophecy, and not a separate subject!
